The Community Accountability Directory is the Foundation’s forthcoming public record of adjudicated matters concerning employer misconduct and real estate developer defaults. It does not exist yet. This page states the discipline it will be built on.
The Directory will record only matters in which a court or tribunal has passed a final adjudicated order. Allegations will not be published. Pending matters will not be published. Complaints received by the Foundation will not be published. The Directory is built from the public record and from nothing else.
Comparable public disclosure practices exist internationally, including the public enforcement disclosures of the United States Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division and the public notices of Australia’s Fair Work Ombudsman. The Directory follows the same principle: verified public information, made findable, so that employees, home buyers, and communities can make informed decisions about the counterparties they deal with.
Any person or entity named in the Directory may seek correction or removal. Requests will be actioned fairly and in a timely manner, and the Directory will be audited annually. The Directory will operate in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the general law; no personal data of an individual will be added without consent unless that data is already part of the public record of the adjudication.
The Directory launches after the Foundation’s incorporation formalities and governance policies are complete, with a first tranche of adjudicated matters. This page will carry the Directory when it opens.
